Installation
Unzip the archive anywhere on your BeOS disk.
Opening the application, it will register the Favorite filetype, and recognise ".url" files as such.

Use
Springboard is designed to stay out of your way.
When it's set up to your liking, you should not need to open Springboard directly, unless you want to convert Bookmarks/Favorites. Simply opening your Bookmarks/Favorites will "pass through" Springboard, and open in your favorite application, depending on the URL in the file.

Use Springboard's Settings-menu, or your FileTypes preferences, to specify which application handles which kind of URL, and if you want Springboard to open both Favorites and Bookmarks.

There's a dropview, where you can drop Favorites you want to convert to Bookmarks, and vice versa. (Folders work too.)

Springboard also lets you
- Launch an URL from your clipboard
- Save your clipboard to a Bookmark file
- Open the Bookmarks folder

Scriptability
When executed with the --clipboard argument, Springboard looks in your clipboard for a URL, and launches it in the appropriate application.

Issues
You will find that in spite of Springboard being the "Preferred Application" of the Bookmark filetype, your bookmarks will continue to open in NetPositive. This is because NetPositive needlessly sets the BEOS:PREF_APP attribute on every Bookmark it creates. You can however, easily remedy that, by dropping them -twice- in Springboards convert-view.

If you have used previous versions of Springboard, (IEFL, Favorite Launcher), and you have old Favorites lying around, you may need to retype them, since I've changed the MIME-string of the Favorite filetype.

It might be a good idea to throw away old copies of IEFL and Springboard, especially if you have problems with the Deskbar Icon not showing.
